New Details for Pokémon Legends: Z-A DLC Coming Soon

The Pokémon Company announced on social media that new information about the upcoming DLC will be revealed at 10:00 PM Beijing time.

The specific contents of the update are still unclear, but since the DLC is scheduled for early 2026, the company may reveal the second trailer for the expansion that was announced earlier this year. The "Hyperdimensional Outburst" DLC takes place after the main story of Pokémon Legends: Z-A. Game Freak has confirmed that players must first complete the base game before accessing the new missions.

According to The Pokémon Company, players will be able to explore the world of Pokémon Legends: Z-A more deeply through the “Hyperdimensional Outburst” DLC. The overview reads: “Spatial distortions have suddenly appeared in Lumiose City. These distortions seem to connect to mysterious spaces, but the true nature of these anomalies remains unknown. Players must work together with members of Team MZ to investigate.”

The DLC will feature Hoopa, a Mythical Pokémon appearing for the first time in the Kalos region (the setting of Pokémon Legends: Z-A). The first teaser confirmed that Pichu will receive two Mega Evolutions: Mega Pichu X and Mega Pichu Y. The teaser also showcased several unrevealed Mega Stones, sparking fan speculation about additional Mega Evolution forms that may be included in the expansion.
